The 13th annual Kevin’s Fund Golf Tournament to benefit the Kevin M. Eidt Memorial Scholarship will be held at the Wayland Country Club in Wayland, MA on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The tournament coincides with the BC-Wake Forest football game on October 1st.

The tournament, with tee times beginning at 9:30 am, will be a scramble format. Golfers of all ability levels are welcome. Registration is $150 per person, which includes:

• 18 Holes of Golf with a Motorized Cart
• Lunch at the Turn and Post Round Appetizers
• Closest to the Pin & Long Drive Contests
• Prizes for Low Team Scores
• Raffle Tickets

The Fund will recognize a charitable donation of $50 for every entry. Patron player entries are available for $200 per person and includes program and on course advertising recognition. Charitable recognition for patron players is $100 per person.

You may sign-up with your foursome or the Committee will be happy to make groups for you if you do not have four people. There will also be a silent auction for sports items expected to include golf gear, autographed memorabilia, and tickets to BC, Bruins, and Patriots games.

Kevin’s Fund and the Kevin M. Eidt Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Kevin, an Honors Program computer science major in the Boston College Carroll School of Management class of '00, who died of cardiac arrest during an intramural basketball game in his freshman year. The Fund will apply 100% of the proceeds from this event to scholarships for the 2011-12 academic year, and in particular to the Boston College scholarship.

Since its inception in 1997 the Fund has awarded over $1,140,000 in scholarships to 87 young men and women attending institutions such as Amherst, Boston College, Bucknell, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Georgetown, Harvard, Holy Cross, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, Rhode Island, Tufts, William & Mary and Wisconsin. There is currently one scholarship in Kevin's name at Boston College for a member of the CSOM Honors Program.
